We are delighted to invite you to our upcoming Clitheroe Contemporary 2025 Ribble Valley Village Sessions. The workshops are FREE to attend and open to your Village Art group plus guests.
The workshops will take place at The Old School Rooms, Clitheroe which is also the main and only Festival Hub this year.
Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th July 2025. 1000-1200hrs
This year is the 25th Anniversary of the The Lowry, Salford and as such we are also celebrating the great Artist during our/your Festival. We though it fitting as he produced several Artworks in Clitheroe itself.
The sessions will be led by Graeme Windle (Art Historian, teacher and lecturer, Clitheroe Contemporary, Atlantic Contemporary Art, Saturday Sessions, Atlantic Art Schools) plus special guests (professional working Artists).
In the two-hour fun and practical workshop, you will be producing a piece replicating LS Lowrys early work (not matchstick cats and dogs). We will be exploring techniques, materials and historical context of the original Artwork.
All materials will be provided, and any level of experience is very much welcome. We would like to show the work on the Festival weekend which is 18th, 19th and 20th July if you so wish (but it is not compulsory).
